Punjab Government has taken
a bold initiative with the active involvement and cooperation
of Vice Chancellors of various Universities in Karnataka, including
State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities, to harness
the innovative potential of youth for inclusive socioeconomic
development. A meeting of all the Vice Chancellors of Universities
in Karnataka, Heads of Industry Associations and some entrepreneurs
was called to understand all India initiative undertaken by
Prof. Anil Kumar Gupta of IIM Ahmedabad and to discuss about
the modalities and roadmap for taking these initiatives forward
in Karnataka. Prof K M Kaveriappa, Executive Director, Higher
Education Council welcomed all the Vice Chancellors, Heads of
Industry Associations and entrepreneurs present and briefed
about the purpose of calling the meeting for an informal discussions
to understand the concept, implementation modalities and lessons
learnt and the roadmap for further progress in the State. He
requested Principal Secretary to chair the meeting and Professor
Anil Kumar Gupta to make a presentation about techpedia.in and
the National Innovation Council Club.
A meeting was arranged involving Vice Chancellors,
Industry Associations and Leading Entrepreneurs on Introduction
to techpedia.in and for Finding Innovative Solutions for Micro,
Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Non-formal and Social
Sectors through Project Works of Students of Technological University
and General Universities in Karnataka on 29th april 2013. Techpedia
was lunched in Karnataka during this occasaion. |
